TrulyMadly is one of India's largest dating apps, the third largest in the country, and a funded startup competing in one of the most saturated categories in consumer tech. When Clicks Bazaar came in, they had no SEO presence at all. What we built instead wasn't a content calendar, it was a programmatic system that took organic traffic from zero to millions of monthly impressions.
TrulyMadly is one of India's largest dating apps, ranked third in the country by scale, and a funded startup operating in a category defined by intense competition and constant user acquisition costs. Dating apps live and die by their ability to get in front of the right person at the right moment, and in a category this competitive, most of that visibility gets bought through paid channels, at a real, ongoing cost per click.
When Clicks Bazaar started working with TrulyMadly, the brand had no SEO strategy running. Not underdeveloped, absent. For a company competing in a category where paid acquisition costs climb constantly, that's not a minor gap, it means every single user is coming through a channel with a hard cost attached to it, with no free, compounding alternative running in the background.
Clicks Bazaar was the one to raise it first, that SEO wasn't just an add-on for TrulyMadly, it was a genuine opportunity the brand hadn't touched. The bigger decision came next: what kind of SEO would actually work for a product like this.
TrulyMadly is a hyperlocal product, people aren't searching for "dating apps," they're searching for dating within a specific city, a specific community, a specific set of preferences. A standard SEO approach, a handful of blog posts and some on-page fixes, was never going to capture that. The opportunity was in volume and specificity at the same time, which meant building an SEO engine, not just an SEO strategy.
We built this using programmatic SEO, a technique few agencies in India can execute properly. Realistically four to five companies in the entire country have the depth to do it right. Done poorly, programmatic SEO produces thousands of thin, low-value pages that Google eventually penalizes. Done properly, it produces thousands of genuinely useful, specific pages that each answer a real search someone is actually typing.
For TrulyMadly, that meant building out city-level pages at real scale, dating in a given city, expandable to roughly 200 Indian cities on its own. From there, the system layered in the other real parameters people actually search around when looking for a dating match, community and religion-based searches, life-stage searches, professional-category searches like doctor dating, and more. Each combination became its own properly built page, not a thin duplicate with a city name swapped in, but a page built around a genuine, specific search intent.
Programmatic SEO has a bad reputation in some corners, mostly because it's genuinely hard to do without it collapsing into spam. The difference between a page that ranks and holds, and a page Google eventually deindexes, usually comes down to whether each page is actually built around a real, specific search intent, or whether it's a template with a variable swapped in and nothing else considered.
For TrulyMadly, that meant treating "dating in [city]" and "date a Punjabi girl" and "doctor dating" as genuinely different searches with genuinely different intent behind them, not the same page pattern repeated with new words dropped in. That distinction is why four to five companies in India can actually do this well, and why most attempts at programmatic SEO end up penalized instead of ranked.
"We didn't really have SEO on our radar before Clicks Bazaar raised it. What they built wasn't a typical SEO project, it was a genuinely technical, scaled system that took our organic traffic from zero to tens of millions of monthly impressions within a year, and it held. Given how competitive user acquisition is in our category, having that traffic coming in without an ongoing cost attached to it made a real difference."
